I hope that you all had a great four day weekend and are ready for the last week of school in February! Here are some school and district updates:

WCPSS School Board Meeting - The WCPSS School Board will be calling a special session tonight at 4:00 to discuss moving all k-12 WCPSS schools to face covering optional and a timetable for when it will go into effect. WCPSS will send out information for when that decision goes into effect, please know that individual families would decide if their child wears a face covering and be respectful to other families decisions.

Rising 6th Graders: Oberlin Magnet Middle School Welcome Event for Rising Sixth Graders for the 22 - 23 School Year - Oberlin is excited to welcome our incoming sixth graders on Thursday, March 3rd. Each rising sixth grader is invited to attend with one adult to learn about sixth grade and get excited for all that is instore for the 2022 - 2023 school year. Foundation and PTA joint event: "Last call" for tickets for the Virtual Wine Tasting/Chocolate Event to be placed by 4:00 tomorrow (the 15th) and the event will take place on Wednesday night. You can go on to Underwood PTA or Foundation FB page to purchase tickets.

Weekly Pool Testing for Covid 19 -- Begins February 11

Underwood is following the WCPSS mandate that all schools a Covid19 testing site through Mako Medical Group. Below is the registration link to have your child(ren) participate in this testing program. This is an opt-in testing and is done weekly on Friday at Underwood ES Care Room from 11:00 - 1145 am. If someone in your students pool of tests, tests positive then retesting for the entire pool would take place on the following Monday.

Foundation & PTA Joint Event: Parent Wine & Chocolate Tasting 2/16:

Let’s toast to Underwood! Join us for a virtual wine and chocolate tasting hosted by the Underwood Foundation and PTA and in partnership with Wine Feed. You will receive two bottles of wine (red and prosecco) and two Videri chocolate bars. A wine expert from Wine Feed will lead us through the wine and tasting pairings.
