Foundation New Year Kickoff
2020 Foundation Kick Off Event: Tuesday, January 14th from 7-9pm at Nickelpoint Brewery (506 Pershing Road, Raleigh, NC 27608). Come join us to learn more about the Foundation and how we support Underwood. Meet our Board members and other Underwood families, all while enjoying drinks from Nickelpoint Brewery and a food truck (http://theredneckbbqlab.com/food-truck-menus/ ). Plus, 10% of proceeds will be given directly to the Foundation! Discounted Gala tickets will be available for purchase as well.

Magnet Application for Incoming Kindergarteners and Middle School
The magnet application for Incoming Kindergarten Students and rising sixth graders is open now and closes on January 31st. All students have to apply for a magnet seat prior to the application period closing. If you have any questions, please visit the WCPSS Magnet Website or contact Ashely Cooper- acooper4@wcpss.net.
Annual Notification: Asbestos Management Plan
In the fall of 1989, in compliance with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Asbestos Hazards Emergency Response Act (AHERA), the school system had inspections conducted in each of our school buildings for the purpose of identifying asbestos-containing building materials. Here is the notification for this year’s inspection - 2020 Notification.

- January 15th: Theater Production Dress Rehearsal for Grades 3-5 (9:30-10:30am; no period 1 or 2 electives; period 3/7/8 will take place)
- January 16th: Q2 electives end
- January 16th: Theater Production Performance-7:00pm
- January 17th: Q2 elective share for K-5 at 10:10am
- January 20th: Holiday (No school)
- January 21st-31st: Electives down
- January 24th: School Spelling Bee-9:30am
